STP is a mandatory requirement for OMG probationer like all other occupational Groups as part of qualifying process toward confirmation in service. The whole Programme has 600 marks with following broad objectives:

i) To provide orientation about mandate, structure and performance of the Federal Government

ii) To provide professional knowledge about constitution of Pakistan and its subordinate legal frame work

iii) To provide applied knowledge of professional Rules and Regulations relating to conduct of business in the Federal Government

iv) To provide orientation on personality development thought discipline

v) To build communication skills
